Browser and Freeware Game Pick: Puzzles (Increpare):
"Holy crap, that first puzzle had me for a bit!" is what I'm sure most people won't admit to when playing Increpare's newest puzzler Puzzles, available via browsers or for Windows and Mac download. Judging from two stages, players win by reaching the goal without tripping any lasers. To say more would give away the puzzle (and be presumptuous).
I've been enjoying Puzzles so far, though I imagine several of you will complete all eight puzzles way before me. Let's turn our comments into old-fashioned leaderboards, get out a stopwatch, and post some completion times!
Stephen Lavelle, thanks for sharing Puzzles even though you haven't been feeling well. This is holistic healing for my rusting brain!

Browser Game Pick: Super Big Gun Adventure (nfyre)
Browser Game Pick: Super Big Gun Adventure (nfyre):
Super Big Gun Adventure is a true gentleman's browser-based murder simulator. It also happens to be a game that pits gamers against gentlemen who envy and loathe their (the players' of course) big guns, most probably due to them (the players' guns; please do pay attention) also doubling as jetpacks.
And, uhm, play it, will you? It's fun and unique and demanding and definitely worth a chance. Some might even describe it as a physics-based platformer.

Perspective Does That Clever Dimension Shifting Thing
Perspective Does That Clever Dimension Shifting Thing:
The mixing of 2D and 3D in game world is no longer a new idea, but Perspective – a game from game-development education crucible DigiPen – certainly has a special take on it, as you can see in the video below. It’s remarkably clever. Not just in the idea itself – in which a 2D character navigates a 3D world, and the camera control of the FPSing player alters the 2D space that character has to navigate by shifting perspective – but in the construction of the puzzles which make use of that concept. I am not sure why I am bothering to try and explain it, really, other than to emphasize that you should take a look, and then do that raised eyebrow thing you do when someone has been impressively clever.
